Hi, I’m Brad Rideout, co-founder of Saltwinds Coffee. I once heard a story about how coffee arriving on wooden sailing ships was naturally infused with ocean air, creating a richer, smoother taste. When steel-hulled ships took over, that flavor was lost—and people wanted it back.
In 2021, my partner, chemist Dr. Laura Richard, set out to recreate this legendary coffee. Through extensive research, she perfected our Ocean Air Infusion process, transforming the beans to unlock a smoother, more flavorful brew.

Just received my shipment, including a bag of the Ocean Air. So, I went to that one first, and brewed it up in my Moka pot. It's very smooth even when brewed at a strong shot. This will enable me to do foolish things much faster!
